SWEET , PETITE AND TALENTED
Born- Juanita Horton Sept.10 1898 Bessies Cowboy father moved the family to California in the early teens, where he became a Chiropractor.
In 1915 Bessie attrated the attention of film legend D:W: Griffith,who gave her a small role in "The birth of a nation" and several other film including "Intolerance". In 1916 she worked with Douglas Fairbanks in the outrageous comedy "The mystery of the Leaping Fish" In 1918 she worked with Alice Guy in "The Great Adventure"While Bessie made well over 125 film
In 1929 she married Producer William B. Hawks and had a daughter.....
Bessie died on april 1986
